I agree with Steele.
It's not that great. He should stick to writing, well, everything else.
Although, now that I think about it. Having one of the world's best writers do something as simple as a pirate joke is interesting.
I like the details: the little [etc], and the fact that it's national "talk like a pirate" DECADE. Imagine talking like a pirate for a decade.
Plus, I don't even know what this thing is supposed to mean.
I think it's (obviously) about Bush. And National Talk Like A Pirate Decade, or NTLAPD, will be cut two years short.
Nice segue, btw...
